Taylor Matlock

Member of Technical Staff, Aerospace Corporation

Taylor is a postdoctoral researcher, currently engaged in a range of plasma-material interactions related experiments, utilizing simple arrangements to isolate specific phenomena. His other research interests include cusped-field plasmas, Hall thrusters, and plasma instabilities. He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2006. He worked as a laboratory engineer for the Electric Propulsion Lab at the AFRL in Edwards Air Force Base developing diagnostics for Hall thrusters. Taylor received his Master's in 2009 and Ph.D. in 2012 from MIT where he studied helicon and cusped-field thrusters at the Space Propulsion Laboratory.
